Visit Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column and German Fountain of old Hippodrome Square.

DETAILED ITINERARY (8 Days&7 Nights)


DAY 1: CAPPADOCIA

Meet the guide and driver in the hotel, and start discovering Cappadocia's unique landscape; first stop is the highlight of Cappadocia Region, Goreme Open Air Museum to witness the living art of Christian and Byzantine history on cave churches. Then we drive to Çavuşin, an old Greek village to discover the civil architecture in Cappadocia. We have lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos where has been the centre of terra-cotta art since 2000 BC. After lunch drive to Pasabagi or ‘Monks Valley’ to see the fascinating mushroom-shaped pinnacles. Then we drive to Devrent (Imagination Valley) to see different shapes of fairy-chimneys. Before returning to the hotel we visit the natural rock castle at Uchisar.
Overnight: Cappadocia

DAY 2: CAPPADOCIA
Depart from your hotel, for Derinkuyu Underground city to visit the huge refugee settlement carved by early Christians. From Derinkuyu we head on to the gorgeous Ihlara Valley, the ancient Peristerema: 'Valley of Sky' along the Melendiz River. Explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 4km through the valley. Explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike 4km through the valley. On way back visit the monastery in Selime village. Drive to 'Pigeon Valley' for to see pigeon houses before return to your hotel.
Overnight: Cappadocia

DAY 3: CAPPADOCIA-KONYA-PAMUKKALE
Depart from the hotel for the Capital of Seljuk Turks Konya. Visit 11th century caravanserai, Sultanhani, which is the most monumental examples of Seljuk Turks architecture, en route. After lunch in a local restaurant in Konya, visit the mausoleum of Mevlana, world-famous philosopher and mystic of Islam. Drive to Pamukkale.

DAY 4: PAMUKKALE-HIERAPOLIS-APHRODISIAS

Depart from the hotel to visit Pamukkale which means in Turkish ‘Cotton Castle’, is the result of limestone formations built over thousands of years. Then we visit Hierapolis which was founded as a healing centre. After lunch, drive to Aphrodisias, which has some of the world’s most beautiful architectural wonders, and the biggest ancient stadium of the world.

DAY 5: SELÇUK-EPHESUS
Depart from the hotel to visit Ephesus-one of the greatest ancient cities of the world. We start from the ancient city of Ephesus which used to be the most important commercial centre of the western Anatolia. Then we visit the House of Virgin Mary where Mary had spent her last days. After lunch at a local restaurant we visit the Basilica of St. John where is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and the Temple of Artemision which is known as one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World.
Overnight: Bergama

DAY 6: BERGAMA-ASSOS
Depart from the hotel to visit Pergamum Ancient city where parchment was invented. We visit the theatre that is the steepest theater in Anatolia and the original place of the Zeus Altar. After lunch we visit Asklepion the ancient healing center. After that, drive to Assos. Visit the Temple of Athena and Necropolis.
Overnight: Çanakkale

DAY 7: TROY-GALLIPOLI
Depart from the hotel to visit the archaeological site of this 5000-year-old city, scene of the legendary Fall of Troy in the Trojan War as described in Homer's Iliad. Then travel across the Dardanelles by ferry, visit Gallipoli National Park where the harshest wars of the world.
Overnight: Çanakkale

DAY 8: ISTANBUL
Depart from the hotel for to see unity of continents, Istanbul. Lunch, en route and half day Istanbul Tour including: "Sultan Ahmet Centre", the heart of the "Old City". HAGIA SOPHIA, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. BLUE MOSQUE, facing Hagia Sophia, famous with its blue Iznik tiles and unique with 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column, and German Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments decorating Hippodrome.
