DAY 1:
Visit Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column and German Fountain of old Hippodrome Square.
Overnight: Istanbul

DAY 2:
Fly from Istanbul to Trabzon. Visit Sümela Monastery in Trabzon, Drive up Zigana Mountain, visit Karaca Cave in Gumushane.
Overnight: Trabzon.

DAY 3:

Visit St. Sophia Church, Ataturk’s Mansion, Uzungol Lake.
Overnight: Wooden Hotel in Uzungol.

DAY 4:
Visit Botany Garden, Fırtına Valley and Ayder Plateau in Rize.
Overnight: Ayder Plateau

DAY 5:
Drive to Erzurum, visit Cifte Minareli and Yakutiye Medrese in Erzurum.
Fly back to Istanbul.


DETAILED ITINERARY (8 Days&7 Nights)


DAY 1: ISTANBUL

In the first day of our tour we will meet with you in Istanbul Airport for your transfer to the hotel. After check in and resting we will start our tour in afternoon. half day Istanbul Tour including: "Sultan Ahmet Centre", the heart of the "Old City". HAGIA SOPHIA, one of the greatest marvels of architecture, constructed as a basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. BLUE MOSQUE, facing Hagia Sophia, famous with its blue Iznik tiles and unique with 6 minarets, built in the name of Sultan Ahmet. Obelisk of Theodosius, Serpentine Column, and German Fountain of Wilhelm II are the monuments decorating Hippodrome.
Overnight: Istanbul

DAY 2: SUMELA MONASTERY-ZIGANA- KARACA CAVE
After arriving at Trabzon from Istanbul by plane, we begin our trip with visiting the 4th century Sumela Monastery and Altindere National Park. Later on we drive you up to Zigana Mountain, crossing the mountain with spectacular views of villages on Pontic Mountains. We arrive at Gümüshane to visit Karaca Cave, considered the most beautiful in Turkey for its colours and formations. Drive back to our hotel located at the centre of Trabzon. Check-in to hotel.

DAY 3: TRABZON-HAGIA SOPHIA-UZUNGOL
Today we will explore the highlights of Trabzon city; study the extraordinary collection of Byzantine frescoes in the 13th century church of St. Sophia and visit Ataturk's Mansion on Soguksu hill facing Black Sea. After our visit in Trabzon we drive to Uzungöl (long lake). It's a hidden paradise in the Pontic Alps. We will get our lunch in there. We hike around the lake and village and check-in to our wooden hotel.

DAY 4: RIZE, CAMLIHEMSIN, AYDER

Today we are leaving from Uzungöl. Short break at Rize for panoramic view of the city from the Botany Garden, we visit kiwi and tea plantations here, then we arrive to Firtina (Storm) Valley which takes us to Ayder Plateau.We will get our lunch nearby of Firtina (Storm) River. we have time to explore that beautiful Alpine Plateau is Ayder until noon. Traditionally dressed village ladies, thermal spring, waterfalls dropping down from hundreds metres and beautiful plateau houses are going to be interest of you.

DAY 5: RİZE- ERZURUM
Today we will start our day with a long drive to Erzurum. We will get our lunch en route in Zigana. When we arrive to Erzurum we will start our exploration. We will visit Selchuk & Mongolian monuments; Cifte Minareli Medrese, a theological school named for its towering twin minarets, Yakutiye Medrese, built by Mongolian Prince Olcayto in 1308, is topped with a richly tiled minaret. You will turn back to Istanbul via domestic flight in the evening.
